The small player with a big sound

The JLTi CD, SACD, DVD player is a joint development by Joe Rasmussen & Allen Wright of Vacuum State GmbH.

It gives a big open dynamic sound with excellent soundstage and timing.

Its based on the current model Sony NS92V DVD Player with an upgrade package supplied by Vacuum State and installed by us. The upgrade improves the masterclock, analogue output stage and power supply. This wont surprise anyone familiar with player upgrades but the design of the upgrades is surprising and the sonic results even more so. :-

1. The analogue output stage uses passive ultrasonic filtering tuned by ear and no opamps for maximum fidelity from a minimum number of components.

2. Power supply filtering is added filtering noise from the power supply and noise put back on the supply by the circuits themselves.

3. A low jitter masterclock based on the design used in the Vacuum State Sony SACD player upgrades.

4. Chassis resonance control is added + carbon fibre feet.
